The Bible clearly describes the method to grow faith: "Faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God." (Romans 10:17) So check your FWR (faith/world ratio). Most Christians hear less than 1 hour of Gods Word weekly, at church. Assuming this, that's 52 yearly faith growing Word of God hours you've committed to combat the 6,136 faith depleting hours spent in the world (minus 2,548 sleep hours assuming 7 hours nightly). Weekly, that's one hour spent in God vs. 118 hours spent in the world, or a 1:118 FWR. It becomes obvious that the more faith hours, the stronger your connection with God, the more you can deal with and overcome the world. Thus the reverse is true, the less your faith hours, the weaker your connection with God, the less you can deal with, therefore putting yourself at risk of being overtaken by the world. Jesus says, "If you continue in My Word, you are My disciples indeed; And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free." (John 7:31-32) This is a commandment from the Lord. It means, if you continue in the Word of God, hear the Word, grow your faith, walk by faith, then you have disciplined yourself 'in Christ'. Therefore, through this discipline of continuous input, you will Know the Truth, and the truth shall make you free. Notice that scripture says 'make you free', and not 'set you free' (as the popular rephrase goes). Being set free implies that you can be recaptured; being made free is permanent. To increase faith hours involves a process of praying, hearing the Word and praising the Lord, which is difficult for many who don't want to give up the 'idols of this world'. So if your faith is wavering, check your FWR. Start the process of increasing your faith so that you don't find yourself in the position of blaming God (instead of yourself) for your life. With faith comes blessing: "That the blessing of Abraham might come to all through Jesus Christ; that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith." (Galatians 3:14) Your personal FWR determines your blessing. Are you being blessed? Check your FWR. Don't blame God, blame yourself. Don't confuse faith with belief for it is faith that makes the connection with God that reacts with the world. Belief saves, faith sustains. Make a determination to check your FWR once a week and work on increasing your Faith hours so that you can be an overcomer. An overcomer begins at 61:58 FWR: That's 61 hours a week devoted to the Word of God vs. 58 hours a week in the world. Increase your Faith and give God the glory when the blessings start to flow. But if your World ratio is too high, don't blame God, He's already answered your prayer. You just have to get in line with His Will to receive the blessings.
It's as simple as the Word of God.
